Los Angeles Adventures

Johnny Depp is a big man

We stood on stars and stuck our hands into pavement and watched tar bubble up into the middle of the city. Drinking Moroccan Mint icy blended bubble teas from Urth Cafe and spending sunny afternoons with friends. Wandering around beautiful men's stores, Mister Freedom, and the RRL store on Melrose. Oh, and eating as many meals as possible at Square One Dining (where we had our one and only celebrity sighting)

And on the drive home we passed by hundreds and hundreds of blooming trees that just kept on going for miles and miles and just when I thought we'd seen the last of them, there was more! OH! And I wore pants, jeans even! (fancy new RRL raw denim selvedge edge ones that cuff ever so nicely but hurt like hell because I'm not used to wearing pants, never-mind ultra stiff raw denim)

These photos, as is your little vacay, look amazing. I've always wanted to see the stars, ever since Weetzie Bat.

Haha, you seem to have more fun in LA than I ever do. I love that they gave stars to fictional characters.

Beautiful photos, and I love your dress!

Oh the La Brea tar pits! The little baby on the edge reaching out for its mother always made me want to cry a little bit. I lived in Park La Brea, right around the corner (between 3rd and Wilshire). These photos are making me feel strangely homesick! I'm determined to make it back out there this summer.

looks like you had a good time in my fair (adopted) city. I used to live over in the vicinity of Square One and have eaten there many a time!

PS: I'm still shocked how small Bing Crosby's hands and feet were. I just went to see a movie at the Chinese Theater for the first time last month (it's amazing inside) - I put my hands in that exact spot! :)

Ah I was just in L.A. this past weekend as well- for the first time. I had to plant my hands on gene kelly's.
