Long Lost Summer Photos

A few weeks ago, back in Boston Land - my bestest pal in the world, and pro-photographer extraordinaire came over on one of those too dang hot to move kinda summer days. We spent the afternoon on the back porch, where I forced him to play Uncle Wiggily with me. These photos have been sitting on my computer since then ... hiding away in my iphoto because my hot frizzy hair was a little too crazy crack head for my liking. But, I miss Jeff and that back porch and hot days that make your hair go floofy ... so here we are!

I don't know what the weather is like where you are right now - but if it's hot, have an ice cream cone! And if your best friends and family are close - give them bear hugs!

PS That lovely dress I'm wearing is one I picked up from Stellate Vintage on etsy! I looove it, but I don't fill it out properly and I don't think there's too much opportunity in SF for me to wear even a quarter of all the summer dresses I have... So - expect a blog post about a Big Cartel shop update later today!!!

Mouse,
I ran into Alice this morning at city feed and talked about how much we miss you. I'll come visit soon, once the weather in Boston gets a bit too chilly for my liking.
love ya

having grown up a little north of San Fran, in the cold winds of fall and winter, and also having a huge love of girly dresses and things, its all just about layering! You keep wearing those summer dresses girl! Just throw on a pretty ruffled longsleved shirt underneath, or a soft turtle neck, some tights, maybe even a slip or two. Think of the layering possibilities with the onset of cold weather!

Fun pictures! Uncle Wiggily was one of my favorites when I was young. I'll have to get it for my little fellas :)

Aw shucks--I really do hope you know just how adorable and wonderful I think you are!! These pictures make me wish for hot summer days, even though all I want to do right now is jump in leaves and wear caridgans and tights! That dress truly, truly looks a-dorable on you with those perfect little shoes; and I love the scarves you've been puttin' in your hair lately! The loveliest! Aw, and I hope you don't get too homesick! And I promise I'll go give Kat a big ol' bear hug when I see her tomorrow!

Sooo, funny, that the two things that I zeroed in on and absolutely adore about this look are the two things you aren't pleased with. First thing I thought was, "EGAD, Her hair is perfection! I can never get my hair to look that perfectly tousled without it looking frizzy and messy." Second thought was, "It must be so nice to be able to wear simple little dresses like that and not have it be tight and binding, to have something be ever so slightly loose without it being unflattering to the figure."

Keep the dress, just layer, long sleeves under it!!!!!

Haha I know that dress! I guess I'm not "busty" enough for it either...Anyway, I still think it looks wonderful on you and it has the most lovely shade of blue! The photos are really nice, it's so lovely to discover forgotten treasures :)

Oh, you look so, so pretty! I realise that's all I ever say here (stupid stupid), but it's so true! The hairscarf! The matching shoes! The light! Oh I could write a million exclamation points...

It's funny, before I read "crack head hair" I was thinking of how gorgeous your hair looks in these photos (I love the scarf!), but I must confess that your terminology made me laugh 'til the point of tears! :)

I love this dress and I look forward to your etsy updates!

That photo of you in the dress with the headscarf is amazing. I saw it on Casey's blog and loved it instantly. Mr Wiggley looks like an excellent game!
