It's been over a year since I've sold anything on ebay but I've been slowly accumulating a few things that just didn't seem etsy appropriate. I have 8 auctions up right now that end next Sunday, the 16th. It was nice being able to take as many detail photos as I wanted, so I think I might try and put more old bits and bobs onto ebay in the future. Maybe every month or so!

Lovely!
if i had the money, i would totally bid on the floral clutch
They're all so nice (:
beautiful items! I guess I don't really understand why those bags/purses for example wouldn't be etsy appropriate...
thanks everyone!
Zohar: I could definitely list these things on etsy for sure - but, I was having a hard time pricing them because of their age. I didn't want to price them too low and I don't feel comfortable putting a high price tag either. Ebay is a nice way to let the buyer decide how much they'll pay.
I also don't feel like a lot of people go to etsy to look for antique accessories. There's a bigger market on ebay for those things - especially the leather bags.
I hope that explanation helps a little bit!
I don't understand how you can part with them all! I love the coral brooch, and those shorts are so cute too x

These are all so lovely!!
i totally understand the concern about pricing antiques on etsy. i sold an edwardian era leather bag on the site a few months ago, but my equally pricey vintage Josef bag is not getting much play. (actually, *nothing* is getting much play on etsy these days. bah.)
I love these outfits! Great pics!
hi francesca!
i am big fan of your blog. my boyfriend and i went to sutro baths the other weekend per your recommendation. we had a lovely time and i found a perfectly white and round sand dollar floating in the tide.
i work at a new vintage clothing store in palo alto called empire vintage clothing and we would love it if you stopped by if you ever find yourself in palo alto. right now we have a gorgeous 1940's grey and white floral day dress that i think would be just lovely on you.
love,
a
Oh gosh thank you for posting this! As it turns out I have a bag just like that turn-of-the-century one (only mine has nouveau designs along the top) and I had no idea what was up with it. Now I know it's seal leather.
I took it to consignment, so I'll be sure to get it back if it doesn't sell.
these are so lovely. that antique seal leather handbag is incredible - things were made with such care back then!
i'm really, really enjoying your blog! you take some incredible photos as well. inspiring to the max.
Yes, the embroidered clutch. sigh.
Lovely taste you have :)
