I'm still here. Just outside the city. My dresses have found their way into cardboard boxes. My shoes are stuffed with newspapers and tucked into one another. The wooden floorboards are covered with all those strange little things that keep our lives moving, but don't belong in the same containers as the kitchen plates or bed linens.
I don't know where my cell phone went. And I'm sick of having to wash my hands to clean off the newspaper ink from my fingertips. Yep, it's safe to say that I've had enough of packing, and I'm nowhere finished. Now if only I could get good at magic tricks, one good disappearing act is all I need!
Miss your postings lots! Hope this tiring period will be over soon for you. Post pics of your new loft when you settle in, I'm sure it's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteLove your blue and white dress! Wonder how you manage to find all this romantic pieces all the time. :)

ReplyDeleteyou move soon, I assume?
ReplyDeletethat dress is so beautiful and look look look at your hair!!! I love it. mines a bit darker now - it used to be more platinum and I miss it. Wasn't as healthy as yours though.
Sucks about the ink, but apart from that, it all sounds rather exciting :)

ReplyDeletehello I watch You sometimes and everytime when I see Your Idea's I'm in love <3
ReplyDeleteThis is the moment in packing (the "what the heck are all these nick-nacks on the floor, and where do they go? moment) in which I always try - totally in vain - to channel Mary Poppins and the nursery cleaning scene.
ReplyDeleteBon Voyage, little snail, and I'm excited to be coast-mates!
Moving is such a bore, but starting over in a new place can be so fun!!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Beautiful dress. Sorry you have the packing blues. I hate packing at all...for anything.

ReplyDeletePacking up is so hard/never ending!! Hopefully there is lots of sunshine to greet you at the end of your journey!
ReplyDeleteI'm in the midst of packing too and I hate it!!!!!!!! I think packing and unpacking are my two least favourite things to do! I just wish I could be settled into my new place like I had just transported everything from one to the other in the exact order it was in!
ReplyDeleteAt least you're looking extra cute during this transition from one home to another!
Don't move so far away! Now how will we ever meet?!?!
beautiful beautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteNeil and I moved last May.. and it was no fun at all. I feel your pain. not much longer, and then you will have the much more enjoyable duty of unpacking and rearranging! that part makes up for all the chaos, I think.
a little bird told me you are moving to my neck of the woods! And even weirder - you might take over my place at work - La Rosa!? can't wait to meet you! :)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so sweet! Good luck with moving.

ReplyDeleteMoving is one of the most stressful things to go through in life. All of the little details are maddening! Nonetheless, you still look absolutely lovely.
ReplyDeleteAww! lol. Sounds like you are all packed up and ready to giddy up! Love the photo :0)
ReplyDeleteAside from having to wash your hands from the ink, newspapers also have a very specific smell that I am sure you are beyond sick of too.lol. I've moved 4 times in the best 4 years so I understand.
