The floor tiles are gorgeous (as is everything else), what era do you suppose they are from? I'm from the UK and it often seems that a lot of things from the past eighty or so years are stripped from houses to make way for the new, which is awful! People consider things from the Victorian or Edwardian times as 'period features' but decor from later on is are just as important to preserve and is beautiful, as your photos show.
