Alexa Chung for Madewell

I don't normally buy newly made clothes, but I totally got hooked into the Alexa Chung for Madewell line. It's just so easy to wear on days where you can't be worried about what to wear! (basically my Monday-Friday) And it's nice to have an arsenal of easy dresses to just throw on when you need to leave in a rush.

Well, my parcel arrived today - it was a really intense 30 seconds of total utter happiness and then a major let down because unfortunately Madewell messed up my order. About a handful of phone calls later and all is fixed and the correct dress will be on its way to me tomorrow! But, I can't keep them both ... because that is crazy $$$ !!

So, here is a Tennesse Velvet Dotted dress up for grabs in a Size 0... I can definitely return it back to Madewell, but I know it's sold out online and figured rather then someone spending an extra $100 on ebay it'd be nice to be able to buy it for the normal retail price..

UPDATE: The dress has found a home!!!

  2. Allie - I wish I had a little Honey I blew up/shrunk the kids style machine to morph this dress into any old size!!

Laura - I sold a wholleeee bunch of my things in order to be able to get my paws on it! The line was expensiveee but I guess it could have been worse? It's just pricey enough to be a splurge for 1 thing but not worth it to re-stock your closet either... sigh.

  3. You are absolutely stunning!
and the dress is perfection. The best part is it will last you forever, and you can dress it up or down!

  5. Crap, I ordered the Harriet Pintuck dress in a size 2. After seeing the 0 on you, I have a feeling it's going to be too big. If so, I may need to snag this from you - and yes, much better than those silly eBayer's selling things for astronomically more than Madewell. Grr..

  12. If you get ahold of the magic clothes shrinking/expanding machine, please let us know! In the meantime, I will just sigh wistfully at that pretty dress.

Also, I wanted to let you know that I'm giving away a charm bracelet (with silhouette charms I made myself!) on my blog. It's at http://a-red-robin.blogspot.com/2010/09/50th-post-and-giveaway.html if you're interested.

  18. i live in new york and they have a store downtown. i don't really like to go to buy retail unless its for simple things. i mostly buy vintage or thrift. buy i guess sometimes you need to buy something practical.
